Palo Alto Council No. 51
Cryptic Masons
The Council of Cryptic Masons, also known as the Council of Royal and Select Masters, confers degrees that focus on the preservation and protection of the ancient mysteries. These degrees provide important context and background for the Royal Arch degree.
The Cryptic degrees emphasize the themes of secrecy, preservation, and the transmission of knowledge through the ages. Companions learn about the hidden vaults and the sacred trust of preserving Masonic wisdom.
