Knights Templar
The Commandery of Knights Templar is the pinnacle of the York Rite and represents one of the most prestigious Christian fraternal orders in Masonry. It confers three orders that emphasize Christian virtues, chivalry, and the defense of the faith.
Sir Knights take on the mantle of the medieval Knights Templar, pledging themselves to protect the innocent, defend the faith, and uphold the highest principles of honor and chivalry. Membership requires a profession of faith in the Christian religion.

Bears the Beauceant, the banner of the Knights Templar.

Bears the sword in ceremonial processions and assists in degree work.

Warder

Guards the inner door of the Commandery and maintains security.

Guards the outer door and ensures only qualified Sir Knights are admitted.
